Film Industry’s Sex Trade Affected with Recession

It is an open secret that the flip side of the film industry has been the couch casting process that has been on since many years. Apart from that, there have been quite a number of examples where producers have been sleeping with actresses and even had them for mistresses.

However, all that seems to have gone in for a change due to the current financial crisis. There was a time when some of the starlets used to charge up to twenty thousand rupees for one night and the makers had no qualms in shelling out with that amount for few hours of pleasure.

But now they have refrained themselves from spending so much so it is being said that even the sex trade in the film industry has dropped alarmingly. Due to this, those who are involved in this are said to have come down on their prices and are willing to go ahead with as little as a thousand too.

Trisha to dance for an item song in the film 'Bangaram'

AM Rathnam hired Trisha to dance for an item song in the film 'Bangaram' that's being directed by Dharani with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. Many a time when the Tamil producers asked her to dance for an item song in their films, she simply used to reject the offers. But she did the one in 'Bangaram' with all the vigor and power. Why is it so?There is nothing else involved here other than the lucrative offer given by AM Ratnam. Apart from other personal relations with Dharani and AM Rathnam Trisha got allured by the figure they quoted. It's a whopping Rs 25 Lacs. In fact, she commands Rs.85 lacs for entire film. How could she feel if she gets that for a single song?Money makes many things indeed. Are there any producers in Kollywood to buy her at such a price?

We may have to see if Ram Charan and Deepika join together on screen for Telugu movie in near future.

A R Rahman is back home with double Oscars

Music director A R Rahman, who arrived home with two Oscars during the early hours on Thursday to a tumultuous welcome, wants India to achieve more, get more Oscars, and through other artistes.

Interacting with the media later in the day, Rahman, who was his friendly self, said, “My hopes of winning an Oscar were only 5 per cent. I concentrated more on the performance because I was taking Indian music onto the world stage.”

He said his music was highlighted because Slumdog Millionaire was a good movie. “It is like the jewel that looks prettier when it is on a beautiful woman.”

Rahman said the movie would have got the same awards even if Danny Boyle had directed it in Hindi and found foreign distributors. He admitted that he took up the project because of Boyle.

Not refuting the viewpoint that Slumdog Millionaire was not his best but only appealed more to Hollywood, he said he thought his score for 'Lagaan' was worthy of an Oscar. “I enjoy my devotional music the most,” he responded to a question on his favourite composition.

When asked what next, now that he had the Oscars and a Golden Globe, he offered, “I’m back in Tamil Nadu.”

He will be doing Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films and he is mulling over three Hollywood offers as well.

Much before his flight landed around 2.20 am, thousands of people queued up outside the airport and at his Kodambakkam residence. Both venues reverberated with percussionist Sivamani’s beats and celebrations went on till dawn at his residence, where his hits were being played since Wednesday.

Anushka is Hotter in Bikini than Priyamani

The buxom beauty Priyamani who has written a new statement about herself and her image with the bold bikini show that she did in her latest release ‘Drona’ might get some mileage out of it but now the audience is said to be gearing up for yet another show of that sorts.

But this time, the temperatures are said to be at volcanic level since the person who is going to create a tsunami with her bikini show is none other than the voluptuous beauty Anushka. After having roared at the box office with ‘Arundhati’, Anushka will be seen in the much hyped movie ‘Billa’.

But many have been saying that watching Anushka in bikini will be the heaven on earth and though Priyamani was highly competitive in her own sense, the oomph that Anushka generates is definitely many volts higher than the others, the public say. So it looks like another challenge is for Anushka to meet the expectations in her bikini.

Sridevi Going to Gym For Sex Appeal

Athiloka Sundari Sridevi is now seating out in Mumbai Suburb gym centre. She is starting her work-out at sharp 7 AM after dropping her kids in school. Her personal physical trainer is helping her for her two hour session.

She is concentrating on shaping her muscle tissue and hide loose flab if any. It is interesting to note that she is not at all bothered about watchful eyes around her but only concentrating on work. She is not finding it a problem to give autographs for a few those ask her in those wee hours of Mumbai.

Well, she can very well carry this gym activity at her home. Why is she coming out? The answer many say is that it is for the publicity. She is now about to act in Mr India sequel to be directed by Sekhar Kapoor.

In fact it becomes publicity for that film. Probably Sridevi must be charging extra bucks for this activity.

Ramcharan's New Film Magadheera in Tensions??

It has been a while since the movie ‘Magadheera’ has been making rounds and there are many who say that this will be the next blockbuster for this summer after ‘Arundhati’. However, the inside news is there seems to be a bit of concern over how best the makers can get their returns.

Apparently, the film is said to have overshot its budget by quite a margin and given the recession time, it has become a challenge for them to make up for the investment and also get large profits. Many permutations such as prints, dubbing into other regional languages etc are now being looked at.

All in all, a major hype is being generated over this movie and while on one side, the target of reaping the maximum revenue is on the hand of the makers, the audience is waiting expectantly over this one since they have a strong feel that this movie will create history. Let us hope all theories turn out to be successful folks.

AR Rahman's Roja Film is still an all time Hit.

Two Oscars for his work in Slumdog Millionaire may have taken AR Rahman's popularity to new heights, but the songs he composed for his 1992 debut film Roja remain the hot favourites with his Indian fans.

A majority of respondents covered by a poll commissioned by Economic Times rate Roja as Rahman’s best film album, with Slumdog coming a close second. Dil Se (1997), Taal (1998) and Bombay (1994) complete the list of the maestro’s top five albums.

Conducted by market research agency Synovate, the five-city survey that covered 257 music lovers among SEC A and A Plus consumers reveal that while a majority of the respondents (86%) across metropolitan India (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad) agree that Rahman’s work in Slumdog is his best, the composer’s work in Roja emerged their favourite when they were asked to name his top three films.

A sizeable chunk of the respondents in Kolkata (86%), Chennai (48%) and Ahmedabad (44%) rated Roja as Rahman’s top album while it was the favourite with 30% of those surveyed in Mumbai. The films Dil Se, Taal and Bombay figured prominently among the favourites in Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

Some leading industry figures also feel Slumdog may not be Rahman’s best work to date. “The legacy of Rahman’s music makes it amply clear that he’s capable of much better work than Slumdog Millionaire,” said lyricist Prasoon Joshi. Composer Aadesh Srivastav agrees. “Slumdog Millionaire is not a complete reflection of Rahman’s true genius. It’s mainly fusion music in a foreign director’s film. There are other films where he has done better,” he said.

Besides his two Oscars at the 81st Academy Awards, Rahman also has won four national awards (the only music composer to have done so) and one British Academy Award (also for Slumdog Millionaire). Apart from scoring music of over100 Indian films, Rahman has also composed music for several international projects such as Bombay Dreams (2002), a stage show; The Lord of The Rings (theatre produc-tion in 2004) and Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007).

Is Mahesh Babu's in Family Problems?

It is known news that 'Prince' Mahesh Babu has been off the hook from the past one and a half year when it comes to his screen presence and while many have been thinking that he was waiting for the right kind of script and movie to come about, there seems to be another buzz about it.

Sources say that things have been a bit bumpy between Mahesh and his wife Namratha since the time of 'Athidhi' and due to this, he was shuttling between Hyderabad and Mumbai quite often. There are those who say that the issue of Amrita Rao also was said to be a cause for that.

Tiffs between husbands and wives are quite normal but since Mahesh is a celebrity, everyone wants to relate to it. We hope that all this is just a hoax and there is no element of truth in it, for now all eyes are on the new venture that Mahesh is going to start along with Trivikram Srinivas.

'Drona' Review

Film: Drona
Rating: 1.5/5
Cast: Nitin, Priyamani, Kelly Dorjee, Mukesh Rishi, Seeta, Siva Prasad etc
Editing: Gowtam Raju
Music: Anoop Rubens
Dialogues: Harsha Vardhan
Choreogrpahy: Amma Rajasekhar
Art: AS Prakash
Producer: DS Rao
Story, Screenplay, Direction: Karuna Kumar
Released On: 20th Feb 2009

Nithin has been awaiting a success from quite long time and the movie 'Drona' with many commercial elements pumped in hopes among many. The name of the director Karuna Kumar is much publicized stating that he is the disciple of evergreen successful director SS Rajamouli. Priyamani's glamour show for first time also pulled the heads of mass audiences positively. Let us peep into the details of the outcome of Drona.

Story:
Drona (Master Sai Krishna) is the son of a sincere police officer (Mukesh Rishi). He shares ample love with his mother Meenakshi (Seetha). But a small mistake by him welcomes the anger of his father who batters him blue and black. Followed by that incident, Drona runs away from his house. He grows up (Nithin) and emerges as a robber. He happens to meet his parents and lives with them accidentally, keeping his past in secret with them. Why he maintains that secrecy? Where did he live all these years? What made him turn as a hardcore robber? Will the parents come to know that the boy for who they have given shelter is their own son Drona? That forms rest of the plot.

Performances:
Nithin has improved a lot especially in dance. He is showcasing many complex dance movements with ease and agility. But he still needs to groom his diction. Again he made a mistake by picking up a wrong line which doesn't suit him.

Priyamani is the main attraction for this film as she revealed herself in bikini for the first time on silver screen. Unfortunately there is nothing else from her other than that glamour show. Although a National Award winning actress she has no big scope to act here.

Mukesh Rishi appeared in positive character role and Seetha is apt in her part. Siva Prasad and Kelly Dorjee have played antagonists and there is nothing special to speak about them as they did run-of-the-mill stuff.

Comedian Sudhakar, after a very long time, appeared in a guest role as doctor.

Music is ok with some songs but the background score is cacophonous. The dialogues are also not so exciting and the direction on a whole is amateurish. Some scenes resembled TV serials with extra length.

Flaws:
1. The scene where Kelly Dorjee holds Seetha in front of a shopping mall while Nithin comes out swiftly to save her - is a perfect TV serial styled, with too many close up shots.
2. The introduction scene of Nithin with SUV and helicopter chase is overdosed and unconvincing.
3. Micro Capsule injections used by antagonists are also ludicrous.

And director has taken liberties to lift scenes from the film 'Batman' (during robbery) and also from the popular Yana Gupta's 'Bapujee Jara Dheere Chalo…' song (on Rakhi Sawanth while she pours beer on her legs to quench the thirst of lusty tongues).

Analysis:
It's an upside down effort. Only the much publicized Priyamani's bikini song should pull mass crowds to theaters. And the film hardly finds repeated audiences.

The comedy is also weak although Venu Madhav tried to spill some laughs. The track is written very weak and hence things didn't work at all. Sunil appeared in some scenes and ok. Arundhati comedy is grooved on Venu Madhav which would have got extended in proper way and complete manner.

First half of the film moves heavily with lot of non-exciting scenes. Second half has action elements but those aren't in tune with the interest levels of audiences. The overdosed subject with an island background has diluted the tempo of the film on a whole. Climax is weak and boring.

To sum up the only saving grace for this film to reduce the loss to maximum extent is Priyamani's glamour show on posters.

Movie Gossip - Anushka's Party With Mysterious Guy

Ever since the film 'Arundhati' has become a major hit, the voluptuous beauty Anushka has become nothing less than a priced celebrity and so it is natural that her each and every move is being watched with great attention. Now, she seems to have got into focus due to another reason.

There is news that this pretty starlet has been spotted with a mystery guy during a party that was held to celebrate the success of her film. There was a time when Anushka was being linked strongly to ace cinematographer Senthil Kumar and since he happens to be a part of 'Arundhati' this talk has gained a lot of momentum.

While the debate is still on as to who is this mysterious guy one thing can be said that whoever wins the heart of Anushka, he sure is one lucky man and will be the cause of jealousy to many men around. It will only be a matter of time before we know who this mystery man is.

Nayantara's encroachment on Tollywood

Nayanthara was in the news recently when the Tamil Film Producers' Council recently banned her from working in Tamil films, but the actress patched up with them and they immediately revoked the ban. We hear that the actress is now looking for more Telugu films. She is already doing a Telugu film opposite young actor NTR, directed by VV Vinayak. Now, she's signed another film opposite Ravi Teja. "I have acted with Ravi Teja in the blockbuster Dubai Seenu, and I am happy to do so again. Boyapati Sreenu narrated an interesting subject and I immediately accepted it," said the actress about the film that will be produced by Ganesh Babu.

Priyanka wooing a Scottish actor?

Move over Hurman Baweja and more recent Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka’s latest rumor man is from Scotland - actor Gerard Butler( seen in the movie 300).

Priyanka got to know Gerard during the launch of Atlantis resort in Dubai.

A friend of Priyanka tells, “Since November, Priyanka and Gerard have kept in touch via phone calls and SMSes.”

Even Priyanka’s representative was quizzed about this issue and she said, “Priyanka and Gerard hit it off really well in Dubai and have maintained their friendship ever since.”

The duo was recently spotted enjoying a lunch together in Chicago, where our Piggy Chops is shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s your Rashee.

Well I’m confused with Priyanka’s various Dostana’s.

Shah Rukh to name his dog Aamir?

The cold vibes between Aamir and SRK have been witnessed by many since many years and both of them keep on cracking comments and jokes at each other whenever they get a chance.

Aamir received wrath of many when he called his dog Shahrukh on his blog, however SRK kept mum during the whole episode, but now he is back with revenge as he is joked that he wants to name his dog Aamir.

SRK said, “Gauri gets upset when I crack jokes about naming my dog Aamir. She thinks why should I bring myself down by doing or saying such things? I understand that she doesn’t want me to lose my dignity, but sometimes I think it is absolutely necessary as people ask for it.”

He goes on to explain, “Aamir had said it was a joke that his dog was named after me… and I said if it was a matter of [a] sense of humor, then my joke would have been that I also wanted to name my pets after Aamir, but my pets vehemently refused. My wife said people don’t understand your jokes, so please refrain from doing so… though I felt it was quite funny but I didn’t say it at that time. Nobody said anything about stooping low, etc. Stooping low would be a height joke.”

SRK also expressed his views on Aamir being against of SRK being number one, “I will confront Aamir and ask him why he said such a thing. I accept a lot of things, but I think this is not funny. When I say I am number one, I definitely don’t mean it in arrogance. I say it with a sense of humor and a sense of humility. But I guess it will take a lot for Aamir to understand that.”

Well that’s SRK at his wittiest best against Aamir, and now lets wait for Aamir’s witty comments.

Namitha Offered Expensive 'Full-Nude' Offer!!

Rated as one of the most voluptuous beauties in the southern circuit, her fan following is so strong that even a temple has been built by her fans. She is none other than Namitha and now it is heard that the audience in the north may have just been unlucky since they have missed seeing her there.

It is heard that she got offer for the movie 'Rang Rasiya' in Hindi but then Namitha denied it without a second thought. It is said that she was offered a whopping few crores for doing that. Well, we can imagine how much Nandana Sen would have bagged by doing that nude show in that film.

From this side, it is being said that the reason is still a mystery as to whether Namitha was not happy with the offer of price she got or whether it was due to the nudity that was involved. Her loss is Nandana's gain.

Sizzling Thoughts of Sexy Shriya!!

She is known as one of the most sparkling beauties in the film circuit and though she hails from the North she has always been deemed as a southern beauty and more so a Telugu girl since this is where she began her journey towards becoming a celebrity and a star who has reached the pinnacle of international success. She is none other than the smiling and shining and at the same time, the highly enticing Shriya.

The pretty girl who was not to be seen much in the southern side lately is now set to make a bounce back and that too with a bang. Her journey is going to begin at Kollywood where she has a flurry of movies lined up with some of the hottest heroes and the biggest banners. Top in the list is the film 'Mallanna' wherein she is pairing up with the super talented Vikram and then she has few others lined up with Sarath Kumar, Dhanush and Vishal. Of these, both Vishal and Vikram's flicks will be seen in Telugu too as their market in Telugu is also quite high.

Sharing her thoughts, Shriya said that she has been looking forward to the release of her movies and added that all her flicks will see her in diverse roles. While in 'Mallanna' she will be seen as a highly materialistic and target oriented girl, the other roles will see her in a rather timid manner. Shriya says that she has looked the most beautiful in this venture out of all her movies but then she was not too comfortable on the issues of her scenes which involved few lip locks and then a steamy bath tub scene.

Shriya is quite practical in her approach and says that at the end of it all, what matters is success at the box office and indicated that she would do her bit in the most specific role as possible if it comes to the matter. She is also said to have made it clear that she is single and has no link ups with anyone when it comes to her personal life.

Meanwhile, the news of Shriya's arrival is being looked at with great enthusiasm by the Telugu folks since they have been craving to see her back on their screens. For starters, she has her 'Mallanna' and reports say that her introduction scene is quite royal given the fact that it was shot at the famous Opera House in Ascoli Piceno in Italy. One hopes that her comeback roars at the box office and gives a flurry of successes and hits so that the ailing Kollywood and Tollywood circuits shine brighter just like Shriya's smile. Waiting to see you pretty girl!!!

KIKK - Interview with Tamanna

How is life after the success of Happy Days movie?
Happy Days success made me busy in Telugu and Tamil film industries. I am doing all quality projects now.

How did KIKK happen?
I was looking to do a quality love story and KIKK came on my way. It was a perfect choice for me. I am playing the role of Geeta. I am doing the role of a village girl for the first time in my career. Geeta is also understated and sober person. She has principles and certain views which she follows religiously. It is a sweet character.

How is like working with Siddhardh?
I saw Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Siddhardh is a fabulous actor. I also loved Rang De Basanthi. We make a perfect couple of KIKK. Siddhardh is awesome in love stories.

Tell us about the director Kishore Kumar?
Though he is a first timer, you do never feel that you are working with a debutant director. He is confident about the script. Script is the biggest plus of the film. He has got great organization skills which made the jobs of us easier. We finished the shoot as per the schedule because of his planning.

How is Bujji as a producer?
He is thorough professional and would go to any extent to get his product right.

What do you think will be highlights of the film?
Apart from the script, music and the combination of Siddhardh and Prakash Raj are going to be highlights.

1. Music: Music is interwoven with the story. All the numbers of KIKK are melodious and meaningful. Music will pep-up the film and raise the levels of emotional scenes.

2. Prakash Raj – Siddhardh combination: Prakash Raj and Siddhardh make the perfect pair of father and son. They played as father and son in NVNV and Bommarillu. But their relationship in KIKK is going to be entirely different.

Which language do you prefer – Telugu or Tamil?
My preference is always to the script. Not to any language.

What do you look for in scripts?
I look for the pace (speed) in narration. I feel that pace is very important along with the emotions for any film.

What are the other projects you are doing now?
I am currently doing the Tamil remake of Jab We Met which is being produced by Moser Baer. Bharat (Premiste fame) plays male lead. I am also doing another Tamil film in Lingu Swamy direction. Karthik plays the hero. I got offers in huge projects of Telugu cinema including that of Mahesh Babu, but could not accept them due to dates problem.

Who is your role model as an actress?
I grew up watching Madhuri Dixit films. Madhuri Dixit is my role model.

What is your dream role?
Chandramukhi character played by Jyothika.

Did you watch any movies recently?
I watched Ghajini and Slumdog Millionaire. I loved both the films. I am highly impressed with the soundtrack of Slumdog Millionaire. It is as haunting as that of Titanic soundtrack.

What are your all time favorite movies?
Titanic, Moghul E Azam, Life is Beautiful, Dil To Pagal Hain and DDLJ.

How do you maintain your fitness?
I do make sure that I workout for 30 minutes to one hour every day. I do run, exercise or dance. Consistency is important.

What about diet?
I avoid fattening foods (fried or oily). I don’t stop any anything, but eat little bit of everything. I eat in small quantities.

How do you manage your looks?
I have to take care of what God has given me. I do sleep a lot. I do take off make-up as soon as the shooting is over. I do take right food. The body recuperates faster if our diet is good.

What are your hobbies?
I sleep a lot. I do watch lots of films in my spare time. I do relax and prefer to me along whenever I find some idle time. I do also write poetry and quotations. I am a day-dreamer.

Do you have a facebook profile?
I don’t have a facebook profile. But some miscreant created a profile on my name with my photographs and got himself/herself into the friends list of many celebrities. I am going to launch a complaint with cyber police now. The same thing happened with Varun Sandesh too in the past.

Tollywood Increasing with Nude Babies

Nudity seems to be the trend now. Every heroine is aiming at skin show and oomph exhibition to get on to the top grade. It is true that the demand for hot babes is proved in Kollywood as well. Nayanatara seems to be the best inspiration for many actresses. Her bikini in Billa has pulled all the currency notes from the pockets of producers into her account.

It's said that Anushka is wearing similar kind of outfit for the film 'Billa'.

But much before her attempt Priyamani is coming up with bikini sort of costume in the film 'Drona'. The family type heroine who bagged a homely image with the film Pellaina Koththalo is now throwing away her saree and blouse to emerge as bikini-goddess.

We have to see who else will take this path to turn the heads of people. Well, that all depends on how well Priya Mani cashes with her bikini.

Dr Rajasekhar - 'Satyameva Jayathey' Review: Expectations Didn't Reach

Film: Satyameva Jayathey
Rating: 1.5/5
Cast: Maha Star Dr Rajasekhar, Neetu Chandra, Sheril Pinto, Sivaji, Sai Kiran, Siva Reddy, Minister M Satyanarayana Rao, Ahuti Prasad, Sayaji Shinde, Ali, Milind Soman etc
Cinematography: Loki B Goud
Editing: Nandamuri Hari
Stunts: Horseman Raju
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues: Dr Rajasekhar
Producers: Sivani, Sivatmika
Direction: Jeevitha Rajasekhar
Released On: 13th Feb 2009

'Satyameva Jayathey', the direct lift from the Hindi film 'Khakee' released today. Let us see how far the film is treated to bring it to Telugu audiences.

Story:
Sathya (Dr Rajasekhar) is a sincere police officer and gets grand image as encounter specialist. Chief Minister (M Satyanarayana Rao) also supports Sathya for his encounters. In the process of doing his duty by attacking terrorists Sathya loses his wife. And he shoots the concerned corrupted officer who resulted in the death of his wife. Although the shoot-out of that officer is a crime, with the support of CM he comes back to join his duty again. He goes on a mission to catch hold of an alleged terrorist Dr Ansari with his team (Sivaji, Sai Kiran, Siva Reddy and Neetu Chandra). Rest of the story is nothing but 'Khakhee' which can be watched on screen.

Performances:
Dr Rajasekhar has portrayed his angry young police officer role which has been his trade mark. Sai Kumar gave dubbing for him but the sharpness sounded to have reduced. Neetu Chandra did lot of over action and the Telangana dialogues didn't suit her but appeared artificial. Sivaji has some role to play while Sheril Pinto is plump and not so attractive. Siva Reddy has something to enact while Sai Kiran has very trivial part.

Milind Soman portrayed the terrorist role with a little bushy beard. Ahuthi Prasad and Sayaji Shinde are routine.

Minister M Satyanarayana Rao has portrayed a lengthy role with his brand of dialogue delivery as sincere and clean CM. In fact, he quenched the desire to become Chief Minister that way at least on celluloid.

Background score is weak and direction also didn't meet contemporary requirement. Things could have been spruced well before delivering. Dialogues are also pale and inactive except the line, "Criminals wouldn't dare to touch even the doll in the hand of kids if government gives full power to police".

A scene was conceived purposefully to target Chiranjeevi and his love for Mother Teresa in a satirical way in the introduction scene of Dr Rajasekhar.

Analysis:
'Satyameva Jayathey' has turned the attention of media and public with various special attractions. This is the film made by Rajasekhar's family after joining in Congress. Minister M Satyanarayana Rao acted in this film in full length role but not as guest. It's also publicized that there are a few scenes those point out Chiranjeevi and other opposition parties. Apart from all this, actress Neetu Chandra had strife with Rajasekhar and Jeevitha which has hit the media in big way recently. All these factors raised some interest on this film among public.

Although Dr Rajasekhar has picked up Hindi film 'Khakhee' directly he claimed that it's the original story by adding some scenes with his self interest. On a whole the narration went insipid with weak background score and non-exciting moments. The film brought boredom for the audiences those haven't watched Khakhee as well. And for the audiences those watched 'Khakhee', it brings bigger ennui as they tend to draw comparisons between the two.

First half is filled with monotony and dull moments while the second half is packed with action that's directly taken from Khakhee. Khakhee sounds convincing with the old-police officer characterization of Amitabh Bachchan. But here in Satyameva Jayathey Dr Rajasekhar projected himself as young hero and continued with action episodes those he did in Magadu and Ahuthi decades ago. It's like gluing the color of spring for autumn.

The direction part is also just appealing for C-center audiences and they too may not watch it repeatedly. The vulgarity is also maintained in the film like any other C-grade film which isn't welcomed by a lady director. The scenes where Dr Rajasekhar beats on the 'back' of Apoorva and the dialogues of Neetu Chandra while explaining her affinity for Dr Rajasekhar sounded vulgar and unnecessary. Although they are targeted to impress masses, the angle of perversion is seen in them. To conclude, the film didn't meet the expectations.

Aishwarya overtakes Sushmita again!

In the early 90s, there was a huge rivalry between beauty queens Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai after they participated in the Miss India pageant together.

Though it seemed that they were going neck to neck, it was Ash who came out triumphant in the long run with better and bigger films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Devdas’, and the more recent ‘Dhoom:2′ and ‘Guru’.

She has maintained herself much better( Sushmita has done badly in that department and looks much older) and also became the envied Bachchan bahu.

Ash seems to have left Sush behind once again now.

After Sushmita Sen decided to shelve her ambitious project on the valiant queen Laxmi Bai, director Ketan Mehta is thinking of reviving his project on the Rani of Jhansi. He had kept Ash in mind and wishes to sign her again.

In the beginning, Mehta had planned the film as a sequel to his movie ‘The Rising’ with Aamir Khan which was about the first Indian revolt of 1857 against the colonial Brits.

Mehta had even approached Aishwarya to play Rani Laxmibai. But the project never took off for various reasons including Mehta’s differences with producer Bobby Bedi.

In the meantime Sushmita Sen announced her plan to make a film on Laxmibai.

She was ambitious about the whole idea and researched extensively for the film. She looked hard for a director but all the work has gone waste because she has ultimately decided not to go ahead with the project.

Now after this latest development, Mehta has decided to revive his shelved project. And sources say that Aishwarya Rai still happens to be his first choice to play the queen of Jhansi.

Ash has already played a warrior in the Hollywood film ‘The Last Legion’ (that was a major failure) for which she trained in horse riding and sword fighting.

Though not many people paid attention to it, she has the skills and can very well put them to good use! Looks like Sush is seething in jealousy again. -Sampurn Media

Morphed Video Of Telugu Actress - Farzana

Call it the development in technology or the desperation by some for publicity but then the videos that find their place in the internet and that too of noted celebrities indulging in some really passionate acts have always been the hottest cakes in the market.

Right now, a new video has been making crazy rounds among the netizens and while some say that she happens to be one of the noted actresses, Farzana, known for her fleshy beauty and dance, others say it is just a look alike of that hot starlet in full nude with a man on bed.

While it is not sure which side of the story is true, the one thing that is true is those who got a chance to view this video are simply in awe of the woman's beauty and her passionate skills on the bed. No one is concerned about who the man is and only consider him a factor to get jealous.

Jagapathi Babu Film 'Sidhdham' Review: It's Ok!!

Film: Siddham
Rating: 3/5
Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Sindhu Menon, Kota Sreenivasa Rao, Mukul Dev, Radha Ravi, Narsing Yadav, Subbaraju, Siva Prasad, Amit, Dil Ramesh etc
Costumes: Saidulu
Make Up: Muktavarapu Ranga
Stills: Raju
Editing: Bhanooday
Photography: Baharni K Dharani
Music: Amar Mohile
Producer: Kiran Kumar Koneru
Screenplay-Direction: JD Chekravarthy
Released On: 12th Feb 2009

The much awaited Siddham with the story of an encounter specialist has arrived today. Let us see how it appealed to audiences.

Story:
Dayanand (Jagapathi Babu) is an encounter specialist who gets the accolades from higher authorities for his sincere and dedicated service. He plucks out many anti social elements from the society.

But he faces trouble with some antagonists and loses peace in his personal life and loses his beloved. How he takes revenge on enemies becomes rest of the story.

Will he use brain or brawn to complete his mission? That has to be watched on screen.

Performances:
Jagapathi Babu has excelled in his performance as encounter specialist. His physical appearance and bearing have perfectly matched for his role.

Sindhu Menon is adequate in her role as a Tamilian wife to the lead.

Subba Raju and Shiva Prasad have appeared in guest roles with right and expressive performance. Subtle humor was delivered by Narsing Yadav and Mukul Dev in a few scenes.

Editing is crisp and cinematography is also sensible. The only point-down in the film is the necessary entertainment quotient that's required for mass Telugu audiences. Otherwise it's a right attempt by JD Chekravarthy.

Analysis:
It's straight lift from Hindi film 'Ab Tak Chappan' and the subtlety is maintained in bringing it to nativity. There are no grandiloquent dialogues and artificial glue to mafia characters and police. Every dialogue and scene is up to the requirement and there is nothing more and nothing less. Director should be appreciated in that aspect.

It is true that the films of this sort receive right acclaim from class audiences but the entertainment quotient that is required for repeated audiences in Tollywood is missing here. There are no songs and separate comedy track. Comedy is intertwined in narration with little humor. It is also true that the film might have got corrupted with that extra-stuff if added unnecessarily. Sometimes, equations cannot be balanced on both the sides.

Apart from this, Nana Patekar's role in Hindi is played by Jagapathi Babu in Telugu. Nana Patekar's body language and harshness pervade entire content when he plays lead role. That brings in more strength in narration and pulls the attention of audiences in better way. But Jagapathi Babu has some softness in his body language and aura and hence the intensity will be lesser when compared to that of Nana Patekar. That makes the difference anyway.

On a whole, it's an appreciable attempt by JD Chekravarthy. Only the patronage of mass

Life is going beautiful says Aishwarya Rai

For Aishwarya Rai, who turned 35 yesterday, life has never been more beautiful. She is happy and married, her career has reached a peak and she is keeping up there with new projects on hand.

Aishwarya is particularly excited for her forthcoming film with Abhishek by Mani Ratnam.

“It’s a really exciting thought for me and Abhishek to be coming together again with Mani Ratnam. All I can say about the film is that it goes into a completely different theme from ‘Guru’,” Aishwarya, who turned 35 today, told an Indian newspaper.

“You can’t expect Mani sir to go into the same space twice. Working with him is an exciting thought for any actor. The way he connects to his actors is very clear in the films that he makes. He creates magic on screen,” she added.

Talking about her last film with Mani Ratnam opposite Abhishek Bachchan, she said, “It has been a very precious experience on every level, and not just on a personal level. I’d say it was professionally very fulfilling.”

Despite their busy schedules, Abhi and Ash find ample time to spend with each other.

“I had joined Abhishek in Jaipur where he was shooting for ‘Dilli 6′. Then I was with him in Miami for ‘Dostana’. I also packed in Cannes and Paris. Life is beautiful. It really is. You know, life is as special as you make it for yourself. Of course, you can’t live your life in a bubble. There’re people who want to rain on your parade. It’s up to you how you protect your space,” said Aishwarya.

Perhaps that was a pointer to - ehem ehem.. You know who!
